Alex is suspicious when Gigi invites Harper to a tea party. When she learns it is a trick she must use magic to save her. Justin and Max play a prank with wizard mail that is taken seriously. S1, Ep8. Alex buys Justin a dragon-dog, but when it is stolen Justin, Alex, and Max must crash dog show to get it back.
S1, Ep9. When Alex learns Justin's new friends are cool she wants to hang out with them, must to Justin's dismay. Alex's attempt at getting into an R rated move puts her into the horror flick with only Justin to rescue her. S1, Ep Justin's date with the hot new older girl is threatened by a zit that Alex compounds by making it come to life.
Alex uses a love potion to get a date. Justin competes for a spot at the world school summit. Tired of being compared with Justin, Alex makes a wish on a genie to end the comparisons. Her wish is granted, but not in a way she expected. When Alex is caught using magic to clean her room she is forced to go to wizard school with Justin. Max and Jerry camp out on the terrace to prove their manhood.
When Alex uncovers an evil plot she must use that knowledge to save Justin. Justin uses magic on himself to impress a girl, which lands him a spot on his school's baseball team. Alex tries to use the situation to her advantage. Alex convinces her parents to let her Uncle teach her magic, since he was the one who won the wizard's contest in the family. But things do not go as well as she hoped. A family secret is revealed.

Max gets Alex and Justin to use an aging spell, so that they can pose as his parents when he brings his new girlfriend, Nancy, home to meet the family. But after his real parents tell him honesty is the best policy, Max tells Nancy the truth- including the fact that he's a real wizard. Alex uses magic on Harper and Zeke to create sparks! Alex surprises Justin by telling him that she made a duplicate Justin and sent him off to college.
Turns out his duplicate is not exactly what Justin had in mind. Meanwhile, the Russos try to be better parents. Justin and Alex must work together on a comic book! Alex tries to get out of Harper's parents' act!
As an act of rebellion against her parents, Alex steps into a magic mirror, where she encounters a universe where everything is about her. The Russos' uncle, Ernesto, comes to visit, but has no idea that they have magic abilities. And they intend to keep it that way. Harper convinces Alex to transform her into Justin's long lost vampire lover Juliet Van Heusen, in an attempt to help him overcome losing her.
